Its been a hectic few weeks at Gardella Racing HQ between displaying cars at the New York auto show, putting the finishing touches to the all new GR Camaro and prepping the Solstice for Formula Drift round 2 down in Atlanta. Amongst all the madness good friend of the team Jeremy Lookofsky stopped by to do some minor prep work on his awesome Drag Cartell Honda Civic before the Spring Nationals event in Englishtown NJ on May 1st.
Streetwars Car Show NJ
After a few weeks of Settling into New Jersey life it was about time to go and check out some of the local car scene at one of the first shows of the year, Street Wars 6.
The show was held at Stockton college in south NJ and it was great to see such a strong turn out especially since all proceeds were going to the Susan G. Komen foundation in aid of breast cancer. There was a massive variety of cars from old skool american muscle to lifted trucks but it was of course the JDM side of things and especially the drift metal on display that got my attention.
While I was busy tidying up my Irish operation before heading to New Jersey, the Gardella Racing Crew were running the Mobil 1 Solstice at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi as part of the inaugural Formula Drift invitational event at the venue.
By all accounts this was one of the finest moments in many of the participating drivers careers and from watching the live stream of the event I can see why. The whole facility looks awesome. Check out the official race footage after the jump Details
